Need Assistance During this Difficult Time

In this midst of this current National economic downturn, many Silicon Valley families are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet and put food on the table.

Fortunately, there are many organizations here locally who have stepped up in an effort lessen the burden felt by many families in Silicon Valley. The Silicon Valley Open Arms campaign is a coalition made up of these organizations. Their mission is to create a network of services in order to help those in immediate need as well as to provide an opportunity for others wanting to get involved.

On the Silicon Valley Open Arms website families can find local services available to the community by searching the agency database or by clicking directly onto agency links.  For those who are interested in helping others in need, there is also the opportunity to donate online to the Campaign or to sign up to volunteer. http://www.211scc.org/openarms.html

It is important that we, as a community, remember to work together to ensure a better quality of life to for us all. I applaud our local agencies for their dedication to families in need and  I encourage you to visit this website and take advantage of the services offered.
